David is a Corporate Trainer and Executive Coach whose focus is helping managers transform into high-performing leaders. His time spent leading soldiers, and later managing teams in corporate America informs his leadership philosophy. That means putting strong character and high credibility first, with an emphasis on communicating expectations and maintaining accountability. Most importantly, it’s about building emotionally intelligent leaders who serve others before self.
A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, David earned his degree in Leadership Development and served as an Officer in the Army for nearly a decade. Most notably, he deployed in 2003 while in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Following military service, David established himself as an exceptional business development professional while working for a multi-billion-dollar company. Applying his military leadership experience, he grew his business unit to nearly $400 million, setting a new company sales record. David next joined a mid-sized consulting firm and successfully directed project teams delivering professional services to agencies of the Federal government. Ultimately, his passion for building effective leaders and teams inspired him to pursue a career as a leader development professional.
David now consults, trains and coaches primarily with Fortune 500 companies. He has trained over 5,000 leaders in companies including Google, NetApp, Veritas, Lockheed Martin, Arrow Electronics, Agilent, Schlumberger, Accenture, Harris Corporation, Johns Manville, Arthur J. Gallagher, Toyo Tires, ASRC, Hogan Lovells, Snowflake, Pivotal, and Splunk.
David and his wife live in Denver, CO with their four children ages 14, 12, 11, and 5. In his free time, he’s passionate about soccer, CrossFit, cooking, writing children’s books, and supporting Veteran causes.
