A Distinctive Approach to Executive Coaching
It’s lonely at the top. Today’s executives know this reality all too well. With greater authority and responsibility comes increased expectations to personally perform. With so many stakeholders to appease and very little time to deliver results, the pressure can become overwhelming and impact one’s performance. In a world where competition for advancement is fierce, there’s no room for mediocrity and unrealized potential. Today’s executive needs an edge. More appropriately, they need to find their own edge as a leader.
What does it mean to find your edge? It starts with taking the time to think more strategically. It’s about acknowledging where you are succeeding as a leader and having the humility to discover where you can improve. Next, it becomes all about courage. What growth opportunities will push you outside your comfort zone? What are you willing to commit to? Will you do the work necessary for true transformation? Or will your bureaucracy of habits continue to limit your personal effectiveness? Finding your edge is not a journey for the faint of heart.
The Executive Edge Program Journey
Month 1—Interviews & Assessments
It all starts with assessing your current state and engaging with key stakeholders. Rather than using an impersonal online feedback tool, David Spungin will personally interview those you truly care about and are imperative for your success. You will also take multiple behavioral self-assessments in order to determine your strengths and potential areas for development.
Month 2—Feedback, IDP Development, & Stakeholder Alignment
Once your data is analyzed, we will have a comprehensive feedback session in which key findings are reported back in an anonymous fashion. You’ll then make choices as to where you would like to grow yourself as a leader and we’ll jointly create your own individual development plan that will establish tangible goals for the coming month's work together. Finally, we’ll share your plan with key stakeholders and garner support.
Months 3 through 8—Coaching To Your Executive Edge
It’s time to get to work! Through bi-weekly hour-long coaching conversations (12 in total), we’ll uncover your limiting beliefs, uncover new ways of thinking, and brainstorm alternative actions available to you. You’ll then commit to practices that will build new capacity. Cutting edge software will help keep you on track with your commitments and you’ll be able to see your progress as it unfolds. All the while, David Spungin will be pushing you to go farther and inspiring you to be more. You’ll be at your Executive Edge in no time.
Month 9—ROI Measurement
Now it’s time to evaluate your success. We’ll check back in with your key stakeholders in order to better understand both progress and any gaps that may still need to be addressed. You’ll also receive a report that highlights all the work you’ve done, as well as suggestions for the next steps in continuing your personal leadership journey.
